Ludlow Museum & Library

The Museum shares the building with the Visitor Information Centre. It tells the story of the Ludlow from the building of the castle and the establishment of the town. On the other side of town the library is open daily except Thursday and Sunday and has free internet access. It also houses the Museum Resource Centre. www.shropshire.gov.uk/museums.nsf

St Laurences's Parish Church

The parish church reflects the prosperity of former years. There are fine misericords, stained glass and stunning views from the tower. A E Housman is commemorated in the churchyard. www.stlaurences.org.uk

Whitcliffe Common

In the middle Ages this was the town's common land used for grazing livestock. Today it is an unspoilt leisure amenity. Visit the newly restored Mill on the Green by Dinham Bridge. Stroll along the Breadwalk riverside path or walk across Whitcliffe Common and admire the stunning view of the town.

Guided Tours

Tours begin at 2.30p.m. by the cannon at the Castle entrance and last 90 minutes. Between Easter and October you can join the tour on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and daily during the festival.

Ghost Walk

Ludlow Historic Ghost Walk meets every Friday at 8p.m. outside The Church Inn beside the Buttercross. For more details visit www.shropshireghostwalks.co.uk

We spent 4 days in Ludlow sight seeing the stay at the Cliffe Hotel was the icing on the cake. Not only were we able to get around but the helpful staff made the visit all the more enjoyable.
